Fitzgerald Housing Services was created as a result of the barriers clients face that were recognized by staff and management at Fitzgerald Home Health Care (FHHC). Fitzgerald Home Health Care provides Housing Stabilization Services to the Twin Cities Metro area and works with a diverse group of clients around the service area.
FHHC staff have researched resources that can assist with application fees and moving expenses but have been unable to identify resources that our clients are eligible for. Most housing resources available within Minnesota typically only cover security deposits/first month’s rent, past due rent, and utilities.
With little to no resources for application fee assistance, we stepped in to fill that gap to secure housing. With Fitzgerald Housing Services, we wish to extend this resource to other HSS clients in the Metro area in order to make housing more obtainable to those in need.

To assist seniors and persons with disabilities to find and keep affordable housing with the goal of brief, infrequent, and discontinued homelessness.

Provide assistance with housing-related expenses that create barriers to gaining/maintaining safe and affordable housing to those experiencing homelessness or other housing insecurities.

Assist seniors and persons with disabilities to obtain Personal Statements of Need, and to register for Medical Assistance.

Create and collaborate with local, state, and federal partnerships to lead the future in ending homelessness in Minnesota.
